Besan Dosa / Gram flour Dosa / Instant Besan Dosa

       

    Gram flour is rich in vitamins, minerals and fibers, including it in your diet can promote heart health.

    Gram flour was also found to improve the blood flow to the legs in individuals suffering from peripheral artery disease (a disease closely linked to coronary heart disease).








INGREDIENTS

Besan/Gram flour - 2 Cups

Rice flour              - 1 Cup

Turmeric powder  - A pinch

Asafoetida            - A pinch

Salt                       - As required 

Cumin seeds        - 1 Teaspoon

Onion                   - 1 Finely chopped

Carrot                   - 1 Finely chopped

Beans                   - 3 Finely chopped

Green chili            - 1 Finely chopped

Ginger                  - An inch size finely chopped

Curry leaves         - 10 leaves

Water                    - As needed to make dough

Oil                         - As needed to make dosa


PRE PREPARATION

# Finely chop the vegetables.


# Take cumin seeds and curry leaves.


METHOD

1.  Take gram flour in a large bowl.


2. Add rice flour.


3.  Add turmeric powder.


4. Add salt and asafoetida.


6.  Add cumin seeds.


7.  Add finely chopped vegetables.


8.  Pour water as needed.


9.  Mix well and make it into batter for dosa.(Rest the batter for 5 minutes if needed).


10. Heat the dosa tawa with little oil.


11.  Pour the batter on tawa and allow to cook for some minutes.


12. Turn another side of dosa and cook well till vegetables turn tender crisp.

13. Serve hot.
