Pearl Millet Dosa / Kambu dosai

      Kambu  is a high energy food which is packed with Iron. It has 8 times Iron content higher than in Rice. The rich Iron content in Kambu aids in improving the hemoglobin level in the blood and prevents anemia.



INGREDIENTS

Kambu flour  - 1 Cup
(Pearl millet flour)
Wheat flour   - 1 Cup
Rice flour      - 2 Tablespoon
Salt                - As required
Chili powder - 1 Tablespoon
Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Onion            - 1 chopped
Curry leaves  - 10 leaves
Water             - As required

METHOD

1.  In a large bowl, take kambu flour and rice flour.


2.  Add in salt, chili powder and cumin seeds.


3.  Add in onion and curry leaves.


4.  Mix well.



5.  Pour enough water and mix well.


6.  Add wheat flour.


7.  Mix well without lumps.


8.  Rest for 15 minutes.


9.  Pour the batter on tawa and allow to cook for some minutes.



10.Turn another side of dosa and cook well.


11.Serve hot.
