Foxtail Millet Porridge / Moong Dal Porridge / Foxtail Millet Moong Dal Dessert

     Moong Dal promotes weight loss and lowers bad cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. 
   
     Foxtail Millet is rich in Vitamin B12 which is essential for maintaining a healthy heart, smooth functioning of the nervous system, and in general good for skin and hair growth.


INGREDIENTS

Foxtail Millet flour - 1/2 Cup

Moong Dal - 1 Cup

Water - As required

Jaggery - 1 Cup

Cardamon Powder - A pinch

Ghee - 1 Spoon

Cashew nuts - 4

Honey - 1 Spoon


PRE-PREPARATION

#Add enough water into the jaggery, dissolve completely, filter and keep aside.

# Dry roast foxtail millet flour till aroma comes and keep aside.


METHOD


1. Dry roast Moong dal, add enough water and cook well.


2. Once dal tenders add jaggery water, cardamon powder and foxtail millet flour.


3. Stir without any lumps, cook well and keep aside.


4. Roast cashew nuts on ghee and put it in porridge along with honey.


5. Give a mix and serve.
