Chapati Chops / Pearl Millet Chapati Chops / Kambu Chapati Chops

     The rich iron content in KAMBU aids in improving the hemoglobin level in the blood and prevents anemia.   




INGREDIENTS

For Chapati

Kambu flour(Pearl millet flour)- 1/2 cup

Wheat flour                                - 1 cup

Cumin seeds                              - 1 Teaspoon

Salt                                             - Needed

Ghee                                           - 1 spoon

Water                                          - Little

Oil                                               - Little

For chops

Oil                       - 1 Tablespoon

Mustard seeds    - 1 Teaspoon

Urad dal               - 1 Spoon

Garlic                   - 2 cloves

Onion                   - 2

Tomato                 - 1

Salt                       - As required

Turmeric powder - A pinch

Chili powder         - 1 Spoon

Water                     - Little.


METHOD

1. In  a large bowl, take wheat flour and kambu flour.



2. Add cumin seeds, salt and ghee.


3. Add water little by little and knead into soft dough. Grease with some oil and rest it for 15 minutes.



4. Make the dough into small balls and flatten it.



5. Place the rolled chapati dough in hot tawa and cook.



6. Take chapati.




7. Cut chapati into small pieces.Take it aside.


8. Add oil in a hot pan. Put mustard seeds and urad dal.




9. Add in finely chopped garlic, onion and tomato.

10. Add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder and saute well. Add little water and allow to cook until vegetables turns into tender.



11. Add chapati chops. 


12. Saute well.


13. Serve.
