Brinjal Chutney

      The high fiber content in brinjal, which is a crucial element to maintaining a balanced diet, is a great way to improve your gastrointestinal health . INGREDIENTS Brinjal - 2 Onion - 1 Green chili - 4 Ginger - An inch size Coriander leaves - 1 Handful Salt - Required Water - Required Oil - 2 Spoon Mustard seeds - A pinch Urad dal - 1 Spoon METHOD 1. Heat the pan and add 1 spoon of oil. Put chopped onions and green chilies and saute well. 2. Keep aside and make it cool. 3. On the same pan add chopped brinjal and ginger and saute well. 4. Keep aside and make it cool. 5. Put all cooked items in a mixer jar with salt and coriander leaves and grind. 6. Add little water if needed. 7. Grind well and transfer into a bowl. 8. Add Oil in a heat tawa. Add Mustard seeds and urad dal. Allow mustard seeds to crackle. 9. Put it on brinjal chutney and mix well. Ready to serve... With Spoonful of Smiles...

Mint Dosa / Pudina Dosa

     The active ingredients in mint leaves can better the memory power and   mental alertness.   Helps in   losing weight. INGREDIENTS Dosa batter (Rice&Urad dal) - 1 Cup Mint leaves - 1 Handful Garlic cloves - 5 Green chili - 1 Salt - Required Cumin seeds - A pinch Pepper - 10 METHOD 1. Put Mint leaves, garlic, green chili, pepper, cumin seeds and salt in a mixer jar. 2. Grind well. 3. Add Mint puree in dosa batter. 4. Mix well. 5. Pour mint dosa batter on tawa and spread it evenly in a circular way to make it thin. 6. Turn another side and allow to cook for some minutes. Ready to serve... With Spoonful of Smiles...

Semiya Upma / Vermicelli Upma / Instant vermicelli Upma

         Semiya  is rich in carbohydrates that are essential for energy production in the body. The fat content in vermicelli is almost zero. They are fat-free and cholesterol free. INGREDIENTS Semiya - 1 cup Water - 3 Cups + If needed Ghee - 1 Tablespoon Oil - 1 Spoon Mustard seeds - A pinch Urad dal - 1 teaspoon Garlic cloves - 2 Onion - 1 Green chili - 1 Mint leaves - Required Turmeric powder - A pinch Salt - Required METHOD 1.  Add a tablespoon of ghee in a pan. 2. Put Semiya and roast well till it comes light golden color. 3. Take out semiya in another plate. 4. Boil water on the same pan and add roasted semiya and cook well for about 10 minutes. 5. Remove cooked semiya. 6. Keep aside on another plate. 7. Heat the pan and add oil. Add mustard seeds and urad dal and wait a while for mustard crackling. 8. Beetroot Semiya Payasam / Beetroot Semiya Dessert

       Beetroots  get their rich color from  betalains , which are water soluble antioxidants.       Betalains have  chemo preventive abilities  against some cancer cell lines. INGREDIENTS Semiya(Vermicelli) - 1 cup Ghee - 2 table spoons Water - 3 Cup + if needed  Sugar - 1.5 cup Homemade Beetroot syrup - 1 Table spoon Cardamon powder - A pinch Cashew nuts - 4  METHOD 1.  Add a table spoon of ghee in a pan. 2. Roast cashew nuts until it reach golden color. 3. Take out nuts in another bowl. 4. Add a tablespoon of ghee in a pan. 5. Put Semiya and roast well till it comes light golden color. 6.
